SPIDER-MAN: NO WAY HOME Becomes Sony’s Highest-Grossing Film Ever With $1.16B World Wide

Spider-Man: No Way Home numbers are continuing to rise and continuing to surpass the films that had set records before them. Star Wars: Rise of Skywalker had been the highest grossing domestic film before this, with a $515.2M total, and No Way Home has jumped ahead with a rising total of $516.4M. With $1.16 billion worldwide, No Way Home is officially Sony’s top-grossing movie ever, unseating 2019’s Spider-Man: Far from Home‘s $1.13 billion final global total.

Deadline reports that Spider-Man: No Way Home accomplished the feat in 12 days stateside, whereas it took Rise of Skywalker 91 days. No Way Home is also the highest-domestic-grossing film ever for Sony, No. 14 on the all-time list at the domestic box office, and the No. 5 MCU title of all time stateside.

It’s awesome to see that movie theaters aren’t dead and fans are getting back to the movies despite having been away for so long during the pandemic. This was an incredibly exciting movie to see on the big screen, and I’m glad so many got to enjoy it. It deserves all the praise it’s getting, and I am excited for the rest of the films headed our way in 2022.
